I'm back at home in Tokyo now, after a trip to Las Vegas for the AICPA/PFP conference for CPAs who also specialize in personal finance topics.
The trip prompted me to finally read up on Jim Shambo's Hedonic Pleasure Index. It's an important topic for retirees.
In this case, I was debating whether to post my write-up about it here or at RetireMentors. I decided to send it that way, but please consider it is a normal blog post introducing new material (some of my RetireMentor posts rehash topics already covered here, so I don't feel as compelled to provide links to them).
